I put my hands to the work of transmutation. I reclaim discarded elements, including natural materials, fibers and other items destined for the dump. I hope to communicate the redemption and rebirth necessary to growth as well as express the work of healing harm, internally and communally. Themes of reconciling with loss, processing pain and finding ways to move forward circle through my body of work. These works are an extension of my poetry, what needs saying out past language.
